Privacy Policy
The short version. Fizz Cam has no account, no servers and no analytics. Your photos, videos and settings stay on your iPhone. We do not collect, transmit, sell or share your personal data.
This policy explains what Fizz Cam ("the app", "we", "us") does with information on your device. It applies to the Fizz Cam iOS app, published by Vidtory Labs — the trading name of Vidtory Technology.
1. What we collect
Nothing. Fizz Cam does not operate a backend, does not require an account, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. No usage data, device identifier, contact detail or photo is sent to us or to any third party by the app.
Everything described below is stored locally on your iPhone and is under your control.
2. Device permissions and how they're used
Camera
Required to capture photos and video. Frames are processed entirely on your device. The live viewfinder is never recorded or transmitted.
Microphone
Used only while you are recording video, to capture the audio track that is saved with your clip. Audio is not recorded at any other time.
Photo library
Used to save your captures to a dedicated "Fizz Cam" album, to show your most recent shot in the camera's gallery button, and — when you ask for it — to import a photo for editing. The app reads only what is needed for these actions.
Location (optional, off by default)
Location is disabled until you turn it on in Settings, or until you choose a stamp that prints a place name and then grant the system permission. When it is on, and only then:
- Approximate location (accuracy of roughly 100 metres) is used to write GPS coordinates into a photo's EXIF metadata and to print a city name on a stamp.
- The place name is resolved through Apple's geocoding service, which means the coordinates are sent to Apple for that lookup. Apple's handling of that request is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. Lookups are throttled to roughly one per kilometre of movement.
- The resulting coordinates and city name are stored on your device with the photo. They are never sent to us.
- Location is only ever used while you are shooting. Imported photos and video recordings record no location.
Turning the switch off in Settings stops all location use immediately. You can also revoke the permission at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services.
3. What is stored on your device
- Captures. Developed photos, RAW (DNG) files, video, thumbnails and edit data live in the app's private storage, plus copies in your Photos library if you saved them there.
- Looks. Camera looks you create or import are stored as local files in the app.
- Preferences. Your settings (quality, haptics, grid, retention window and so on) are stored in the app's local preferences.
None of this is backed up to a server by us. It may be included in your own iCloud or encrypted local backup, which is governed by Apple and by your device settings.
4. Purchases
If Fizz Cam offers a subscription or one-time purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card, billing address or Apple Account details. Apple's handling of that data is covered by its own privacy policy.
5. Crash reports and diagnostics
Fizz Cam contains no crash-reporting or telemetry SDK. If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymised crash and performance reports. That sharing is controlled by Apple and by you, and can be switched off there.
6. Children
Fizz Cam is not directed at children under 13, and because the app collects no personal data, none is collected from children either.
7. Retention and deletion
You control everything the app stores. Individual captures can be deleted in the gallery. Settings › Storage lets you delete all RAW files or the whole in-app gallery at once, and offers an optional RAW retention window that automatically removes RAW files older than 30 or 90 days (off by default; favourites are never swept). Deleting the app removes all of its local data. Copies you saved to Photos are managed by the Photos app and are not removed by deleting Fizz Cam.
8. Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data a company holds about you. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase — your data is already, and only, in your hands. We do not sell or share personal information. If you have a question about this, write to us at the address below.
9. Changes to this policy
If Fizz Cam ever gains a feature that changes how data is handled, we will update this page and revise the date at the top before that feature ships.
